"new true match" compact makeup instructions?

I purchased the new true match super-blended compact makeup, and i put it on. My question is do you put it on by it self? Or do you add something to it? when i put it on by it self, i noticed it left my skin pale, and cake-E. So do i add something to it, or do i put it on sponge, n face?

thank u all. I have the same compact, but in the foundation, liquid bottle. I will try to put on lotion, naybe i have dry skin. I just bought this one, because a friend told me that it would work better, but i think its 2 cakey. LOl I learnede how to spell it. Thanks!
